Compassionate, R+ Dog Training in Cameron, MO

My name is Meredith, and I was quite literally born an animal lover.  I'm drawn to, and naturally connect with animals, and have learned through countless hours of my life spent watching, studying, interacting with, and training them, how they think, act, and react to the world around them. I gained invaluable skills in assessing, handling, and working with various behaviors by understanding and reading body language through a lifetime spent observing them, and later as a veterinary assistant/practical technician for well over a decade.

In 2018 I sought out my certification in positive dog training techniques through Animal Behavior College, and successfully completed their in-depth and rigorous course study and an externship with a qualified, positive, fear-free dog trainer. I graduated in July 2019, earning my certification.

As a result of my experience and observations, I hold the following beliefs:

• Every moment spent with your dog; you are training them.
• Nearly every problem in dogs can be solved with time, patience, and consistency in redirecting their patterns of behavior and their reactions to the things that trigger the behavior.
• Every dog deserves a loving, forever home, and I believe this is wholly possible with early, consistent, training, and proper socialization.

It is these fundamental beliefs that have encouraged my passion to make life better for both dogs and their families by helping people understand and be able to communicate clearly with their dogs.

As a member of HEARTland Positive Dog Training Alliance, I advocate and use humane, positive, fear-free training techniques.
